La versione corretta è……….. (suspense)…………. :

Bob and Jane were in the mountains last weekend.

I due fattori fondamentali nella scelta sono:

1) La preposizione “in” che esclude l’uso di un verbo di movimento

2) L’avverbio di tempo “last weekend” che esclude l’uso del “present perfect”
