    The other verbs require the following constructions:

    Bob and Jane ARE THINKING OF BUYING a small house in the country.
    Bob and Jane ARE DREAMING OF BUYING a small house in the country.

    Bob and Jane WOULD LIKE TO BUY a small house in the country.
    Bob and Jane WOULD PREFER TO BUY a small house in the country.

    Bob and Jane WANT TO BUY a small house in the country.

  2. In my opinion ing form doesn’t use with feeling verbs , so the correct sentence is : Bob and Jane are planning to buy a small house in the country.
