I was quite sure that the stress changed if used as noun or verb.
Hi Diana. Well, that is true for a number of words such as import, export, increase, decrease, insult, permit, contest etc (maybe I should write an article on this). However, in the case of “report” the stress is on the second syllable whether it is a noun or a verb.
