My first million

Ingliando: 1,000,000 page views!

thank-you

I never imagined when I started curating Ingliando on a daily basis just a few years ago, that the site would ever reach the dizzy heights of 1,000,000 page views. Obviously I’ve seen it coming over the last few months, so it’s not really a surprise, but it still feels great to actually reach such a significant milestone. What it means, over and above any kind of  statistical considerations, is that people from all over Italy (not just my university students) are finding the site useful and are using it as part of their regular study plan for improving their English. This, for me as a teacher, is the greatest satisfaction imaginable.

  1. I thank you for your job and for being so helpful and clear. As soon as I started as a beginner I enjoyed your website. Well done!

  2. I have been striving to become confident in English for many years, meeting hundreds of teachers. Without a shadow of a doubt, you are, in my humble opinion, among the best. You have posted online a well-structured site and, as a cherry on the top of the cake, you are the only teacher always available online. So, it is not a surprise that you succeeded in your enterprise. You achieved just what you deserved. It is the learners’ duty to be grateful for your valuable support. Many thanks to you, teacher Tony and best wishes.

    1. Thank you Giuseppe! When I started out with Ingliando I wanted it to be diffferent from other language resource websites and I realised that what was always missing was a direct contact with the teacher, so that is what I have concentrated on here. So many people want to improve their English but either don’t have the time or the money for regular lessons or they are just looking for extra practice. I’m really pleased that in some way Ingliando is helping those people, like yourself.

        1. If you want to say “di niente” then you should use an expression like, “You’re welcome” or “My pleasure”.

    1. Ahah! Yes, I suppose it is a bit of a cloud nine experience, but I mustn’t rest on my laurels; there’s still plenty to do!

  5. Hi Tony
On Ingliando I can really improve my English.
I’m going to run out of technical explanations.
I want to “feel” the language like music or art.
I think language has to be felt for it to flow and on Ingliando I can.
I know there’s still a long way to go for me.
My best friend, as you said, is Mr Percy Verance.
    Thanks a lot Tony.
