I’ve been waiting for this moment a long time.
Have you known Bob a long time?
Have you been working here a long time?

        We have
got this car since 20 years

        Thank you!

        1. In the first three sentences, where I have put the ❎ you need the preposition “for”.
In the last sentence you should use “had” instead of “got”.

          1. I’ve been waiting for this moment for a long time.
Have you known Bob for a long time?
Have you been working here for a long time?
We have had this car 20 for years .

So can se state that “for” expresses the duration of an action that has started in the past but continues to the present?
While since identifies the exact moment in which an action started…but this same action is related to the present too, is it correct?
