Bulky ~ ˈbʌlki

Aggettivo ~ ingombrante, grosso, corpulento, massiccio, voluminoso

Un aggettivo di uso abbastanza comune per indicare qualcosa che è fuori della norma in termini di volume. Tende ad avere connotazioni negativi.

Esempi:

  • The sofa was too bulky to carry up the stairs.
  • Il divano era troppo ingombrante da salire per le scale.
  • Put all the bulky stuff in the van.
  • Metti tutta la roba grande nel furgone.
  • The woman was balancing a bulky package on her knee.
  • La donna teneva in equilibrio un pacco voluminoso in ginocchio.
  • It’s too expensive to send these bulky products by air.
  • Costa troppo spedire questi prodotti grandi per via aerea.
  • Tom’s brother was a big bulky rugby player.
  • Il fratello di Tom era un grande massiccio giocatore di rugby.
