Hi Nadia. There’s a bit of confusion here.
First of all, may I suggest that you read my article here:
Secondly, you must eliminate that ‘double negative’ by using ‘ever’ instead of ‘never’.
Lastly, your two possibilities at the end are:
1) doing such a thing
2) doing a thing like that

“Making” è possibile se si riferisce a qualcosa di manufatto, altrimenti userei “doing”.
N.B. La virgola non serve.

There are a few things to consider here, Manu:
1) With ‘none’ you can’t use the ‘friends of mine’ formula; you need to say, “none of my friends.”
2) could ➝ would
3) dream + of + -ing

1) why the negative “wouldn’t”?
2) why the plural “these kind of things”?

2) because I’ve linked “these” to “things”…maybe is “this kind of”

What about using the verb dare? Is this suitable in the context?

It’s all singular, Anita: “this kind of thing”.
“Dare” is fine, but it’s not the same as dream.
