Hello, Tony I can also say:
I asked them not to tell anybody anything
or is it better to use to say?
I always confuse the two verbs.
thanks

Hi Giovanna.
You have two possibilities here and both are equally good:
1) …not to tell anybody anything about…
2) …not to say anything to anybody about…
The important thing is to use the right construction with each verb! 😉

A good effort, Luca, but be careful with ‘say’ and ‘tell’. You have two possibilities here and you have mixed them!
1) …not to tell anybody anything…
2) …not to say anything to anybody…
Also, you should use ‘about’ (riguardo) and not ‘of’.

Thank you, Teacher.
But do both anybody and anyone fit in this case?

‘Anybody’ and ‘anyone’ are always interchangeable, Anita. They are perfect synonyms.
