Having finally found the money that he needed, an elderly gentleman walked back into a Mercedez-Benz showroom ready to buy the car that he had set his heart on some time before. To his great surprise, as he approached the desk, he heard the salesman concluding a deal for the very same car with a beautiful shapely blonde who was standing in front of him. When the man’s turn came, he was quick to vent his anger with the salesman.
“I thought you told me that you would keep that car until I managed to find the £45,000 asking price,” he said sharply. “Yet I just heard you closing a deal with that young lady over there for £35,000. I remember you telling me quite clearly that there was absolutely no possibility of a discount on this model.”
“Well, what can I say?” replied the salesman. “She had the cash ready and in any case, just take a look at her. How could I resist?” he added with a leer.
Just at that moment the young blonde walked over to the elderly gentleman and handed him the car keys.
“Here you are, grandpa,” she said with a sweet smile, “I told you I could get this joker to drop the price.”
