Does anything really exciting ever happen around here? We get bored watching TV every night.

Does anything ever happen really exciting here around? We get bored so much watching TV every night.

    1. You’ve split the subject in the first part, Dany. Think again!

In the second part, I would say “so bored” rather than “bored so much”.

      🙂

      1. Does anything really exciting ever happen around here? We get so bored watching TV every night.

  3. hi there,

does anything absolutely thrilling(electrifying)ever happen around here?We get so bored watching TV every evening.

Does anything really exciting ever happen around here? We get bored so much watching TV every night.

    1. Very good, Claudio. The only thing I would change is that “so much” in the second part; I’d say “so bored”. 🙂

  5. Hi prof

Does anything truly exciting ever happen round here? We get so bored watching TV every night.

    thank you very much

    1. That looks pretty good to me. I don’t think I would use “truly” in this context, I’d probably use “really”. But “truly” is perfectly acceptable. 🙂

  6. hi tony

Does it ever happen anything really exciting around here?We get so bored to watch tv every evening.

    1. Hi Davide. Your mistake is not seeing that the question has a subject and resorting it the impersonal form which is not necessary here. In the second part you need the gerund “watching” and not the infinitive “to watch”. Why don’t you try again? 🙂

      1. Sure!

Does anything really exciting ever happen around here?We get so bored watchin’ tv every evening.

  7. Good morning Tony. It took me about half an hour 😂 but finally here it is:

Has anything really exciting ever happened around here? We get so bored watching TV every night.

    1. Hi Gaetano. Well, your version is grammatically correct, but I don’t understand why you chose to put the first part in the present perfect and not in the present simple. The person speaking wants to know about the present, not the past.

      1. Yes Tony you are right. Maybe that I don’t understand well how the present perfect works. I have a lot of work to do again!

        1. The present perfect always has a strong connection to the present but it is still a past tense, Gaetano.

Doesn’t anything very exciting ever happen around here?
We get bored so much watching telly every night.

    1. Very good, Paolo. Its not necessary to make the question negative, but it works equally well. Negative questions tend to express a certain disbelief that what you are suggesting could really be true. In this case it could be appropriate.

I think “so bored” would be decidedly more typical in the second part.

      1. Got it, I’ll try again.

Does anything very exciting ever happen around here?
We get so bored watching telly every night.

  9. does anything really exciting ever happen around here?

We get so bored watching television every evening.
