Very good, Gaetano, but why did you change from an infinitive construction (so much to do) to a gerund construction (little time for doing it)? You should have kept to the infinitive construction in the second part, too. 🙂
Also, I would say “I wonder” and not “I’m wondering” in this kind of situation. For the same reason, we don’t say, “I’m thinking that…” but “I think that…”
Tony I tried to vary this time, but I made a mistake. The fact is that I am still confused about whether to use the infinitive or the ing form. I thought that since it is not a verb of purpose in this context, I would try a solution with for+ing. As for the verb wonder, yes, I made another mistake because it is a state verb, isn’t it?
But the “for + ing” construction is designed for purpose, “generalised purpose” if you remember. It has no place here. The infinitive is your only option:
Too hard to understand…to small to fit on my head…too many people to get into one taxi… not enough time to do everything…not enough money to buy them all…and so on.
“Wonder” is a hybrid verb, you need to see if you’re using it as a spur-of-the-moment consideration (penso che… mi chiedo se…) or in a more meditative sense (stavo pensando che/a… mi stavo chiedendo se…)
In effect, it’s not used much in the present continuous, but is more frequently used in the past continuous (mi chiedevo se…)

I didn’t know tony,because l’arrivo…it’s a noun and I also translated into a noun…maybe if the end of the sentences was ..prima che il capo ritorni…I would have written so…

When you’re translating, you don’t have to stick to the same grammar pattern as the original if you think there is a more natural way of expressing the same thing in the other language. 🙂

I would eliminate “so” (you could also eliminate “that”) and put “ever” before “be”.
At the end, you can’t use an infinitive, you need to conjugate the verb: “comes/gets back”.
