Buon divertimento!

  1. Hi prof

Happening things sometimes that turn up side down all your plans and force you to start from scratch. It’s terrible when it happens!

    Thank you

    1. “Things” is the subject and “accadono” needs to be conjugated. So: “Things sometimes happen that…”

“Turn upside down” is great, but it sounds much more natural with the direct object in the middle. So: “…turn all your plans upside down…”

The rest is all good. 🙂

  2. good afternoon prof,

it happens sometime that some things mess up all your plans and you must start over again. It’s awful when It happens.

      1. ohhhj ok…..i do not know why but It sounded so strange tò me that i went for the impersonal form..

        ThXX

  5. a difficult one.

Sometimes thing happens that upset all your plans and you are forced to restart from ground.
When it happens it is terrible!

    1. Very good, Luca.

thing happens ➝ things happen (posizione della ‘s’)

restart from ground ➝ start from scratch

      🙂

  6. There are times in which unexpected things/situations turn your plans upside down, and you have to start all over again/from scratch. When this happens, it’s terrible!

    1. Spot on, Paola. You’re the first person to use the expression “to turn something upside down” and both your alternatives are equally possible. 🙂

  7. A few things sometimes happen which mess up all your planes and you’re forced to start over from zero.

    When it happens,it’s terrible!

    1. A good effort, Davide.

You can actually eliminate “a few” and “from zero” and the sentence is perhaps even better!

      Think about it. 😉

        p.s..why thursday?

        1. Because tomorrow I’ll be offline most of the time! 🙂

          P.S. “happen” (senza ‘s’)

    1. All good, Paolo, although I think “have to” would be more appropriate than “must” in this kind of context where it’s not really “obbligo/divieto”.

      1. Thank you Tony.

  9. sometimes things happens that overturn all your plans and you are forced to start (all) over again. When that happens it’s terrible

    1. Very good, Giovanna.

“Forced to start” is a perfect expression here, as it is passive, and gives the idea of external forces working on you.

      P.S. I presume the ‘s’ on “happens’ is a typo 😉

      1. ,😂😂😂😂😂 Tony i Always make something wrong. I do the exercise during the work break. Why don’t you choose Saturday instead of Friday

        1. 😂 As long as you don’t look at the other comments, you can always leave your version until Saturday! 😉

    1. Very good, Rachele.

I think I would eliminate “some” in the first part, but it’s all right. 🙂
