A Scotsman and his wife were out for a stroll one evening when they found themselves walking past a swanky new restaurant that had only recently opened.

“Did you smell that food?” asked the Scotsman’s wife as they turned the corner and started to head down the next street. “It smelt absolutely delicious!”

The Scotsman, being a kindhearted fellow, thought to himself, ‘What the heck, I’ll treat her to something special.’

So they walked past the restaurant again.

      N.B. From a Scot or a Scotsman (Scottish is an adjective).
