A father put his five-year-old daughter to bed, told her a story, and listened to her prayers which she ended by saying, “God bless Mummy, God bless Daddy, God bless Grandma, and goodbye Grandpa.”
“Why did you say goodbye to Grandpa?” the father asked.
“I don’t know,” replied the little girl. “It just seemed like the right thing to say.”
The next day the little girl’s grandfather died.
The father thought it was rather a strange coincidence.

A few months later the father put the girl to bed as usual and listened to her prayers which went like this:
“God bless Mummy, God bless Daddy and goodbye Grandma.”
The next day the the little girl’s grandmother died.
“Oh, my God,” thought the father, “My daughter’s in contact with the other side.”

Several weeks later, when the girl was in bed saying her prayers, her father heard her say, “God bless Mummy and goodbye Daddy.”
He practically went into shock. He couldn’t sleep all night and got up at the crack of dawn to go to his office.
He was as nervous as a cat all day and couldn’t take his eyes off the clock. He figured that if he could get by until midnight he would be all right.
He felt safe in the office, so instead of going home at the end of the day he stayed there, drinking coffee, looking at the clock, and jumping at every sound. Finally, when midnight arrived, he breathed a sigh of relief and left the office.

When he got home his wife said, “I can’t remember you ever working so late. Is there some kind of problem?”
“I don’t want to talk about it,” replied her husband, “I’ve just had the worst day of my life.”
“You think you’ve had a bad day,” said his wife. “You’ll never believe what happened to me. This morning my boss died, right in the middle of a meeting!”
