There are places I remember
All my life though some have changed
Some forever not for better
Some have gone and some remain
All these places have their moments
With lovers and friends I still can recall
Some are dead and some are living
In my life I’ve loved them all

But of all these friends and lovers
There is no one compares with you
And these memories lose their meaning
When I think of love as something new
Though I know I’ll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I’ll often stop and think about them
In my life I love you more

Though I know I’ll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I’ll often stop and think about them
In my life I love you more

In my life I love you more

  1. …thought rereding better I’m not so sure…he also sings ‘There is no one compares with you and these memories lose their mining…’
    I don’t know!!!

    1. Well, I think your first consideration is pretty good, Mirella. The singer gives importance to his past but the really important thing is his love in the present. So when he thinks of his love, obvioulsy all his memories become less important! 🙂

  2. To answer your discussion’s question: I think the singer gives quite importance to his past, seeing that he sings ‘I know I’ll often stop and think about them’ even if there is a big love in his life.
My best regards to you, Prof!

  3. Thank you, but it was not so easy…I had to peek at the solution sometime 😉
