ahahahahahah
maybe :
we write it —————->departures
but we read it ————> /deep/ /archers/
WELL DONE !!!🙂
wow, I really LOVE this kind of ”pun”, because once solved, I keep in mind the british sound more easily..it’s so funny! 😀
Puns are an excellent exercise in pronunciation and linguistic flexibility. Some are easy but this one is quite difficult. Have you looked at the “Punny Book” section yet? 🙂
yess I have…punny books open my imagination, because as I read…I discover the hidden meaning <3, but I couldn't find this kind of ''rebus''…. that is pretty much stimulating <3 . <3
English people love to groan at puns! It’s a strange love/hate relationship.
They are the archers, the fighters the killer. Also They are subwater and can’t breathe. Departures , in Italian “partenze ” si usa anche per indicare il decesso di persone, Ok I think… DEATH or DEAD .
If it’s wrong …. I give up !! :))
Vedi! Già una chiave l’hai trovato: “archers”. Adesso pensi bene a come si dice “departures” in inglese. Prova a spezzare la parola diversamente dal solito, a cambiare un po’ il modo di accentare le sillabe…
It’s very hard for me ! dEpartures , accento sulla E , dep – ar – tur- es …… archers ….. my sinapsys don’t comunicate each other 🙂
Now I’m tired, I ‘ll think tomorrow.
Thanks for help !
Good Night :)))
“Dep-artures”: leggila così, però mantenendo sempre la pronuncia così com’è… 😉
eh…. WE HAVE TO WORK on pronunciation !!!! :))) “plural maiestatis ” 😉
Nice day !
Do you understand it now?
Yes, thanks 🙂
NESSUNO che riesce a risolvere questo gioco enigmistico?
SPEAR ?
I don’t understand what I should do 🙁
È un gioco di parole basato sulla parola “departures”. Le figure a destra sono la chiave di letture per il secondo significato. Bisogna dire la parola “departures” e pensare a cos’altro potrebbe riferirsi…
I understood , thanks and nice day ! 🙂
Have you understood my explanation or the wordplay (or both)? 😉
I reckon that the word is PARTNERS
No, Marcella, the word is “departures” but you need to find a ‘hidden’ meaning which corresponds to the image!
I understood your explanation 🙂
I’m thinking still ….
What can you see in the picture and where are they?
But it’is only an anagram or it’s a rebus ?
It’s really just a pun. One ‘sound’ with two meanings.
Omg ! They are subwater , underwater…. departures .. SUBWAY !!!!?????
Ahah! First of all you need to ask yourself, “What are they?”
