Buon divertimento!

Good morning prof
1)No one of my friends would never dream of doing such that thing
2)No one of my friends would never dream of doing a thing like it
Thank you
Have a nice weekend
Hi Nadia. There’s a bit of confusion here.
First of all, may I suggest that you read my article here:
https://ingliando.net/2017/01/20/and-then-there-were-none/
Secondly, you must eliminate that ‘double negative’ by using ‘ever’ instead of ‘never’.
Lastly, your two possibilities at the end are:
1) doing such a thing
2) doing a thing like that
🙂
I have completely forgotten the rule…
Really thank you
😀👍
Nobody of my friends, would ever dream of making a thing like this.
https://ingliando.net/2017/01/20/and-then-there-were-none/
None of friends of mine could ever dream to do a thing like that
There are a few things to consider here, Manu:
1) With ‘none’ you can’t use the ‘friends of mine’ formula; you need to say, “none of my friends.”
2) could ➝ would
3) dream + of + -ing
Thanks Tony
😀👍
None of my friends wouldn’t ever dare to do these kind/sort of things
A good effort, Anita. Just two considerations:
1) why the negative “wouldn’t”?
2) why the plural “these kind of things”?
1) Oh, just realized that I should have used the positive form
2) because I’ve linked “these” to “things”…maybe is “this kind of”
I suppose I was wrong 🤷♀️
What about using the verb dare? Is this suitable in the context?
Thank you, Teacher, wish you a good evening
It’s all singular, Anita: “this kind of thing”.
“Dare” is fine, but it’s not the same as dream.
🙂
Hi prof,
None of my friends would ever dream of doing such a thing.
Great, Roby. Well done. 🙂
Thank you prof😁
Sorry for my late answer.
😘
None of my friends would ever dream of doing something like this.
Very good, Dino.
It would be a bit more natural to say “something like that” at the end.
It didn’t want to come back to my mind at all and I didn’t want to look at the notes. I thought about it for at least half an hour and then I gave up. thanks
😀👍
Ehmmm, the old age? Perhaps!
😂😂😂

Well done, Paolo. Another very good version. 🙂

Well done, Rachele, that’s another very good version. 🙂

Wow, you’re quick off the mark today, Dani! And spot on too! Well done 🙂
I have learnt a lot from you 🙏
