Lettura e ascolto elementary in inglese: Alf’s Alphabet – g

For kids, and the young at heart

g‘s have got fingers

like me and like you,

sometimes they’re red,

green, yellow or blue;

they’re useful outside

when the weather is cold,

but they make umbrellas

quite tricky to hold.

What is g?

  1. I used to wear specific gloves for different occasions, like cold winters, working at my office, riding horses, skiing, scuba diving, cycling, house maintenance, etc. I no longer need to use them, what a pity!

    1. I can understand the skiing, scuba diving and so on, but what about cold winters? Do you not have them anymore?

      1. Thanks teacher for your question. I no longer need to wear gloves in winter because the latest ones are much warmer than the winters lived some decades ago, related to the incumbent climate change. You won’t believe it, but I liked the falling snow despite my Sicilian origin. Best regards.

        1. True enough. I still find that I need gloves in the winter when I go to work on my bicycle. However, I think that’s about the only time I use them in effect.
