Genesis… a poem about the fall would be greatly appreciated
Ungaretti, Italian poet
You’d like a poem in English about autumn?
si sta come d’autunno sugli alberi le foglie
I don’t know if and how it can be translated in English
“We are like autumn leaves on trees.”
The “si sta” is tricky. It could be “we live”, “we wait”, “we quiver”, “we tremble”.
