Buon divertimento!

  1. Hi,
    my attempt:

So much depends on so little, so many depend on so few. Let’s hope to stick together we’ll be able, in somehow, to get over these tough times.

    Thank you!

    1. A good effort, but it needs a little adjusting in the second part:
to stick together → by sticking together
in somehow → somehow (‘in’ non serve)
to get over → to get through
      🙂

  2. Good morning,
“So much depends on so little ,so many depend on so few.Hopefully, Just keeping all together, we Will somehow be able to get over these hard times “.

    1. Well done, Roby. I have a couple of suggestions to give it a slightly more natural sound:
just keeping all together → by (all) sticking together
      get over → get through
      🙂

So much depends on so little, so many depends on so few, let’s hope by staying joined we can somehow get through these difficult times.

    1. Very good, Claudio.
Be careful with that second ‘depends’ – the subject is plural so it should be ‘depend’ without the ‘s’.
I would change ‘joined’ and say ‘united’ or ‘together’. A good expression would be ‘sticking together’.
      🙂

So much depends on so little, so many depend on such a few, let’s hope that by remaining united we can get through this hard time.

    1. Very good, Dany, but there are a couple of things that need adjusting:
such a few → so few
this hard time → these hard times / this difficult period
      🙂

      1. So much depends on so little, so many depend on few, let’s hope that by remaining united we can get through these hard times.

        Thanks so much, dear Tony🙂

          1. So much depends on so little, so many depend so few, let’s hope that by remaining united we can get through these hard times.

            1. Now you’ve forgotten ‘on’ after ‘depend’. Have another glass of wine and we’ll talk about it in the morning! 😂

              1. So much depends on so little, so many depend on so few, let’s hope that by remaining united we can get through these hard times.

Oh my! The flu virus that infected me scrambled my brain too! So serious! 😱

  5. So much depends on so little, so many depend on so few, let’s hope that staying together we can overcome these difficult times.

    THANKS!

    1. Very good, folks!
I would say ‘BY staying together’ or, better still, ‘by sticking together’, and rather than ‘overcome’, perhaps something like ‘get through’. But your version reads well. 🙂

  6. So much depends on so little, so many depend on so few, we hope that we manage somehow to get through these tough times by standing/sticking together.

    1. Hi Alexia. Nice version. Well done.
The second part should really start with ‘let’s hope’ and ‘manage’ should really be ‘will manage’, but that’s not critical. 🙂

  7. Così tanto dipende da così poco, così tanti dipendono da così pochi, speriamo che restando uniti riusciremo in qualche modo a superare questi tempi difficili.

So much depends on so little, so many depend on so few, let’s hope that by sticking together we can somehow get through these difficult times.

I checked the dictionary for ‘sticking together ‘.
Great phrase to be translated, Tony.

    1. Great version, Paolo. Well done.
Yes, ‘sticking together’ is a nice (and useful) expression. 🙂

  8. Ciao! E buon 2026!
So much depend on so little,so many depend on so few.
Let’s hope that stickin ‘together we’ll manage somehow to overcome these harsh times.

    1. Hi Davide.
Another very good version (although you ‘forgot’ the ‘s’ on the first ‘depend’ 😉 ).
Perhaps I would say ‘BY sticking together’, although it’s not strictly necessary.
Also, I think I would stick to ‘difficult’ at the end, or ‘problematic’, or ‘tricky’.

      Happy New Year! 🙂

  9. Translated on the spur of the moment.. :
So much depends on so little, so many depend on so few, let’s hope that, by staying united, we’ll be able, in a way or another, to overcome these difficult times

    1. Hi Carla.
Your version is great, but it does require one small correction:
in a way or another → in ONE way or another (this expression uses the number and not the article).
There are also two nice alternatives you could consider:
      staying united → sticking together
      overcome → get through.
      🙂

      1. so happy I got through– Thank u for your nice corrections and your devotion to your ( and our) working together

          1. So much depends on so little, so many depend on so few.Let’s hope that staying united we will somehow to get through these difficult moments

            1. Very good, Fede (although you’ve highjacked Carla’s thread 😉 )
Just a couple of things that need adjusting:
staying united → by staying united
somehow to get through → somehow manage to get through
              🙂
