  1. I think the trick is in the double meaning of “mine”… as a possessive pronoun and as a noun referred to excavations underground to find some precious material…

    1. Very good, Patrizia, only it’s the verb “to mine” (scavare per estrarre), not the noun.
      Remember the expression is “to make somebody DO something”.
