Unfortunately, the numerous restorations of the work have changed the original representation of Leonardo attributing the armed hand of knife to Peter instead of Judas. It’s a good thing Leonardo will never know it!

They were sitting at the table for eating, and when you are eating, talking is secondary, or even not recommended.
And if they had been sitting opposite each other, the fresco would not have been so beautiful and Michelangelo would have been in trouble.
