Hi, Teacher
Bob has gone, perhaps?
Maybe is still morning
Even if it’s still morning, the person speaking is clearly talking about a specific past event, Anita, so I think a past simple would be more typical here. That’s not the only problem however…
Ouch, is there another mistake?
Which is the other problem, Teacher? 🙄
Maybe Bob didn’t come back so “He went to town”???
Yes, but WHEN did he go to town? Soon?
I think Bob went to; but I need to be confirmed by Bob 🙂
I’m afraid Bob’s still in town, but “went to” is a big improvement. There is perhaps another problem though?
went to the town?
No, Luca. The version with no article is much more typical in this kind of context.
When did he go to town? Soon?
early
Bob went to the town very early this morning
Good Nadia, but more typical would be “town” without the article.
Bob went into town very early this morning.
Bob has gone into town very early this morning.
Only ONE of these is good, Paolo…
the first one?
And you know why. 😉
