    1. Even if it’s still morning, the person speaking is clearly talking about a specific past event, Anita, so I think a past simple would be more typical here. That’s not the only problem however…

    1. I’m afraid Bob’s still in town, but “went to” is a big improvement. There is perhaps another problem though?

        1. No, Luca. The version with no article is much more typical in this kind of context.

          When did he go to town? Soon?
