Apart the absurd example reported in this story, the real wonder should be: why are people surprised by dogs intelligence? Probably, for the worldwide shared misconception that only humans are intelligent. Dogs are inherently astute and in addition are able to learn from humans behaviors.
Do you think people are still surprised by dogs’ intelligence?
I think generally people are pretty aware these days that dogs are smart creatures.
