Pensavo che con i verbi che esprimono un’opinione o un sentimento non si potesse usare il present continuons . In questo caso c’è un’eccezione?
Bella domanda Marcella. In realtà il verbo “to think” si divide in due: c’è un “to think” che significa esprimere un’opinione, e questo non va mai nella forma ‘continuous’. Per esempio: “I think it’s a good idea.” Poi c’è un “to think” che si avvicina di più all’idea di ‘contemplare’. Questo “to think” si presta bene alla forma ‘continuous’ come azione che si svolge nel tempo. Per esempio: “I’m thinking of buying a new car.” Ma anche “What are you thinking about?”
