How would you describe this cartoon? Is it funny, sad, ironical, hopeful, stupid, realistic, depressing? Is it trying to make a point? Is there a play on words?

Hi prof
I think it’s mostly ironical but it’s also sad and realistic and I think it hides a kind of incentive not to give up

Well, it’s definitely a reflection of the times we live in. Perhaps there is an underlying message that we mustn’t just give up, especially the younger generations.

It’s ironical and sad at the same time and a bit depressing too…

Hi Giovanna, you reflection is more or less on the same lines as mine. It is almost black humour in some ways. It also reflects a sad truth about these difficult times.
